Homework/Assignment Policy

• Work is due at the beginning of the period
• Work left in the locker is considered late
• Late work will lose 10% and students may redo work if the original work is attached or if a large star is next to the redone work and "REDO" is at the top next to the name of the student.
• E-mailed assignments are not accepted, unless it is a digital project. All work becomes part of the science notebook and every student needs a hard copy of their assignments. You may usually submit a hand-written copy of your work. Very few assignments are required to be printed, but they sure are gratefully excepted, and these will have several days to complete (and therefore several days to problem solve printer issues).
• I will fix any grading mistake, that is my fault, if it is politely brought to my attention. 
• Students who accuse me of losing work, and it is not in the class work area, will be asked to do the work again. IF I find it later and it was my fault the student will receive extra credit for my mistake and their extra work.
• Late work and REDO work should be put into the Late/ Redo box.
• If you are absent please look at the homework section, when you come back to class check the ABSENT folder for any work. Absent work will be given an extension that is the same as the amount of days missed (i.e. miss 1 day, get 1 day extension).

Note: Parents can access their student’s progress and recorded assignments through the parent portal.  Please stop by Hamilton’s main office to be able get this online information.
